EKTAM relies on high performance Slip Ring

Conductix-Wampfler is providing a slip ring specifically designed for filling machines to EKTAM. EKTAM, produces filling lines for beverages and non-carbonated drinks since 1977 and installs turnkey bottling plants. Thanks to its experienced staff of engineers and its soundly based collaboration with European companies, EKTAM can successfully set up all varieties of bottling plants and provide its business partners with ideal solutions at high efficiency levels. The Conductix-Wampfler Slip Ring has been used for the first time for a filling machine of EKTAM.

The slip ring, type MCS35, is a very compact, high performance device for the transmission of power to the electrical supply box, auxiliary and data for communication up to Real Time Fast Ethernet at 100Mbps. Reliable Ethernet transmission is guaranteed by more than 10 years’ experience of Conductix-Wampfler with this type of protocols and the collaboration with main brands for motion control systems. This special solution also integrates a fluidic joint for air passage with short length and small diameter. The slip ring is made of stainless steel and according to protection class IP67 – two characteristics that are highly appreciated in this market. The gold on gold solution assures a long life of the sliding contacts with a stable and reliable performance throughout the entire service life. Due to washing system and similar ambient conditions, the machine operates in humid and wet conditions. Given these circumstances, it is essential for the system to operate in good conditions without any contact with liquid water and humidity.
